Idle problem with Evinrude 1994 90 HP?
I cleaned the 4 carbs and adjusted the fuel mixture at idle screw by hand. After adjustment I run the engine at 3 / 4 of gas to clear the fuel. I leave it idle, the engine will go dead after about a minute. I look increase the idle RPM to burn excess fuel. The automatic oil pump was off and I present a mixture of 50 to 1. My research indicates that this oil may be too much at lower rpms and file closures. Should I consider a hot plug or perhaps another type of connector? I was said I could even change the mixing ratio of oil on condition that I change the type of oil. Please help
Hello Redneck sounds like you're on the right track, but the following reasoning. Did you run a compression test on your engine? If you have a variance of 15 psi difference between the cylinders or more, you're having idle and running problems. Run you QL77JC4 champion candles that you should be? Another thing you need to do is throw a can of OMC engine tuner or Quicksilver to tune your engine to remove any accumulation of carbon that may be choking your engine is or paste your piston rings. (Follow the directions on the can). You should be idleing in gear @ 750 RPM if you run a plug gap of surface change a type of electrode as the one I mentioned earlier. Check your timeing. these responses could be entered into a number of details in depth, but I hope that I am actually quite easy for you to try.
