Gil Scott Heron famous once said that the revolution will not be televised.

It's funny when, in the world of television there is a revolution and, if nothing is done to inform people about what digital television is reality, then there will be a group of people no TV signal at all.

Worse, the e-commerce operators, electronics dropship wholesale suppliers, and eBay traders who are likely to be caught in the crossfire.

It is true that the world is amid a transition from television Digital. Broadcasters are moving from analog to digital television. From VHF and UHF signals to a TV DVB-T, ATSC, ISDB-T and DMB.

Scandinavia and Northern Europe began the transition to DVB-T in 2003, they finished in 2007.

The United States began the transition from NTSC to ATSC in 2007 and should be completed in February 2009.

The majority of early adapters started to set in motion for change of digital TV between 2007 and 2009. They are supposed to completely cut emissions analog 2012.

But the Average Joe and Josephine ready for the digital switch?

Retailers and monitors research trends are beginning to suspect this is not the case.

The good news is that people came to party in turn with the switchover and, mostly, have stopped asking "what is digital television.

But there is still a disturbing lack of agreement on standards used in different countries.

Digital TV standards are not the same in all countries, with about four standards for digital broadcasting used.

Many of the world (all over Europe, most parts of Asia, large Oceania, Africa as a whole and sections of South America) has declined or chosen to move towards DVB.

This includes DVB-T television Digital terrestrial DVB-S for satellite and DVB-H mobile TV (although many devices and mobile TV signals currently work on the DVB T).

The United States, Canada, Mexico, South Korea and territories under U.S. control in Pacific Islands ATSC TV shows.

China, Hong Kong and Macau use DMB-T / H and Japan and Brazil using ISDB. Japan uses the ISDB-T version while Brazil uses SBTVD T version, which has been developed for the South American terrain and conditions.

It is perhaps not surprising that people are so confused.

Global online retailers, eBay merchants, the Chinese wholesale electronics manufacturers and electronics dropship wholesale suppliers say it is common for their customers to order the wrong item.

It does not matter if it was a Digital TV Tuner, USB TV tuner, a TV tuner for the car or a portable device with a digital television set, the results were the same.

In fact, a representative of the original Internet wholesaler of China said that the confusion on the DVB-T and ATSC alone had led to problems for customers and Company.

This even before the lesser ISDB-T and DMB came into play.

Thus, in e-commerce operators electronic fuel are facing a big problem with digital DTV as bricks and mortar operators do not even have to face … who is until they start sourcing orders from abroad.

So what steps should we take away and that operators e-commerce can do to prevent customer complaints and bad information?

One thing they could do is put an opinion on the merits of all products notifying customers that they will work.

Although this does not stop anyone buying a gadget which is set up for the wrong standard will work most of their time and provide an additional layer of compensation when they returned to complain.

For example, if you try to sell a digital ATSC tuner you can put 'Will work in USA, Canada and Mexico "at the bottom of the description while you could put "not working in the United States and Canada at the bottom of the description on a T USB DVB.

By doing this, retailers should sell be able to most types of digital TV converter box, a TV tuner for laptop and done all DTV product without too much difficulty.

So is the global community for digital TV? Probably not.

But if e-commerce operators to prepare, they could avoid falling on the confusion between different digital TV standards.
