Suzuki – From Trades Motors
The Suzuki Motor Corporation bears little resemblance to the ancestor who gave birth at the turn the twentieth century. Although it is difficult recognizable as the same company, its founder Michio Suzuki had no trouble recognizing the company which still bears his name.
Initially, the company was known as Suzuki Loom Company. It was located in the village tiny town of Hamamatsu, Japan. At that time, Japan had a huge silk industry and the Suzuki Loom Company built looms. M. Suzuki held over 120 patents in the technology business and building looms exported overseas.
Although the business enterprise has been successful, Mr. Suzuki was interested in diversification. Because Japan's population at that time became interested motorized transport, Mr. Suzuki has turned its attention to the production of small cars. His adventure was a resounding success. He began to produce its small cars in 1937. Shortly after the launch in the automotive manufacturing sector, Japan has become deeply involved in the Second World War. Like most manufacturing companies had done, the plants have been converted at Suzuki production equipment military. With the end of the war, Suzuki needed capital so that it returns to what he knew about the production of looms. When the United States began to ship cotton to Japan, the company really began to prosper. Unfortunately, this will prove to be short duration. The cotton market collapsed in 1941 and Mr. Suzuki original plans to diversify were once again called into action.
Once the war ended, the Japanese were once again interested in motorized transport. While several companies offer a clip on the engine type that has been designed to be attached to a regular bike, Suzuki developed one of the first two rounds of racing known as motorized name "PowerFree" to be developed in Japan. The rings are inexpensive and easy to maintain and allowed the pilot to pedal or with the help the engine without using the pedal to let the engine or engine powered vehicles in total. The Japanese government has found this concept very innovative that they Suzuki offered a financial incentive to continue research in the new motor cycle. In 1956, Suzuki Motor Corporation is born. Since that time Suzuki increased in the manufacture of compact cars, motorcycles, outboard motors ATVs and motorized wheelchairs.
Suzuki now maintains a full time presence in the United States and American Suzuki is based in Brea, California. The company is currently partnering with General Motors on the market different models of SUVs and compact cars here in the United States. In 2004, Suzuki again in collaboration with General Motors purchased the bankrupt Daewoo Motors.
Although the U.S. economy has continued to contractors, Suzuki has continued to post gains in all areas. In addition, in 2006, sold more than 100,000 vehicles in the United States. The Suzuki Grand Vitara has been responsible for much of Suzuki's success here in America. The Grand Vitara has attracted many young, well educated buyers looking for vehicles big enough for family life, but also have a proven answer ecology responsible.
